Escape rooms that don't ask permission
No padlocked cupboards. No polite hint system. Two things make this different: the puzzles are modular, so no two run-throughs are the same — and losing actually costs you something. None of it exists yet. That's where you come in.
What losing costs
Failure has a
price list
Everywhere else, losing means a bit of disappointment and a photo by the exit. Here it means doing something you agreed to — and held time, spent where the people waiting can see you.
- You choose your own stakes. Before you start, you pick six forfeits from the list and we attach each one to a short task — a jigsaw, a riddle, a dexterity challenge.
- Beat the task, lose the forfeit. Finish inside the time limit and that one's off the table for good.
- Miss it and you pay twice. You do the forfeit, and one hour is added to the time you're held.
- Worst case is knowable. Fail all six and it's six hours and the full set. Beat all six and you walk out having done nothing at all.
- Nothing happens without a yes. You agree to every forfeit in advance and again on the day, and a safe word stops anything instantly.
Read this before you apply
This involves total darkness, confined spaces, loud noise, strobe lighting, physical exertion, water and physical restraint. Participants must be 18 or over, and we check ID.
Losing has consequences. Each task you fail means doing the forfeit you attached to it, plus one hour added to the time you're held in public view. Depending on which forfeits you choose, those can include cold water, confinement in a cage, sensory deprivation, electric shocks, being struck with a cane or belt, very hot or genuinely unpleasant food, your clothing being destroyed, your hair being cut or dyed, your skin marked, being seen or photographed in your underwear or fully nude, and travelling home restrained. You choose which six are in play, and confirm each one again on the day before it happens.
Please don't apply if you're pregnant, have a heart condition, epilepsy, a respiratory condition, a recent injury, or anything else that intense physical stress could make worse. Every session has a safe word that stops everything immediately, a live safety monitor watching the whole run, and a full briefing before you go in. Nothing in the survey commits you to anything, and rating a forfeit highly is not agreeing to it.
The beta programme
Break them before
anyone else can
We're testing what happens when you fail, and we'd rather find the flaws with you than with paying customers. A beta session is six short tasks with six forfeits of your own choosing riding on them. Tell us a bit about yourself, pick the six you'd risk, and score the rest. It takes about five minutes and beta sessions are free.
No marketing list. We contact you about test sessions and nothing else.
